作为进口商,因为不是最终消费者,他们的销售定价往往是基于采购成本价格。所以,供应商的价格稳定性对于他们来讲比较重要。不是说供应商遇到成本上升,死扛着亏着钱供货。而是说,在涨价前,要预先给客户通知,最好提前1-2个月,并做详细的说明,留给客户充足的时间来调整他的销售价格。另外,有些材料波动大的产品,供应商在报价的时候,要给客户一个报价有效期限。虽然,有时候这个报价期限执行的并不多,但将来有一天你调整价格了,如果客户表示不满,你可以发这个给他看,你就主动了。

Maybe you have already read in the news paper, the labor cost in China has been increasing quickly. Actually not limited to labor, everything is increasing, like material, energy, transportation all goes up fast due to big inflation. You know, we have made our best to keep the price stable to our customers for already 2 years, by improving the productivity and absorb the cost increase on our side. However, it sounds the situation is very hard for us to absorb all the cost increase. We will have to adjust the price according to the new cost structure.

Meantime, we fully understand that this will inevitably influence your cost & sales. To support you, we would like to implement the new price after 2 months from now.
